    Hi jtennent4, are you talking about hosting or the domain transfer?

    If you have a domain with Namecheap and a site here with us, transferring the domain may make sense: the transfer adds your first year free. After that, it’s just nice to have billing in one place. But, you could just keep the domain there and map it here with your plan, too.

    You can use our service, which provides hosting and management, as well as support with paid plans.

    Or, you can buy hosting elsewhere, and set up your own free WordPress installation there. Just note many hosts do not offer WordPress management and support, or they charge extra for it. This is a good option if you want to handle the technical end of things yourself.
