Transfer a domain

Hi, I own a domain and I developed the site using Wix. I wish to delete the whole site and develop a new one using WordPress. Should I just transfer the domain? Will it automatically delete the site contents, which is what I wish as I would like to start all over again.

Custom Domain is only supported for paid plans like Personal, Premium, and Business. So you need to upgrade to paid plan before transferring the domain.

Once you have transferred your domain successfully, you can start with your new WordPress websites.
Your Wix account content won’t be visible on WordPress.com site unless you import them.

Transferring the domain won’t automatically delete your Wix site, no. Please contact Wix support for the correct process of deleting a site on their end.
Transferring the domain also won’t cause your Wix content to move over to WordPress.com – that will ONLY transfer the domain, nothing else.
The OP specifically mentioned they want to delete the content on the Wix site and start over, so the instructions to import from Wix is unnecessary and makes it appear that you didn’t take the time to read their question and understand what it is they want to do. Please be careful of that.
