Transfer a Domain issue.

  The website I purchased from GoDaddy is already past 60 days old. I also have a domain transfer authorization code already. Your website still says, ‘bloodheir.com can’t be transferred due to a transfer lock at the registry, but you can connect it instead.’ Why am I unable to transfer? There should be no transfer lock.

  Hi there,

  I can confirm that bloodheir.com is beyond 60 days and seems valid for transfer. It’s worth noting that “locked” is the default state for all domains, and is a protection against getting your domain stolen. For example, if you had your domain for several years, you would still see this message since you need to unlock your domain as standard procedure before you transfer.

  So the good news is that nothing is blocking this transfer. :)

  To transfer this domain you will want to contact GoDaddy support and ask for their assistance with:

  • unlocking your domain
  • Creating an EPP transfer code

  You will enter the code on this end and that will start the transfer, which is fully automated from that point and is typically finalized in 24-48 hours.
