transfer a domain website setup

  I want to redo my website with wordpress (currently elsewhere). And I want to ‘map my domain’ leaving with its current registrar. When I give the website an address to wordpress in the setup website steps, will it automatically overwrite the website I currently have live? I need to maintain the old website live until the new is ready. How can I do this?

  Hi! No worries; we can’t overwrite anything on the other host. And we can’t control what the domain displays until you point it to our servers. You can use a free address for staging. You don’t even need to add the domain mapping until you’re ready.

  The only caveat is if you need a business plan with outside plugins and what not, but support can help you set something up if that’s the case.
