transfer a post between blogs

  Hi, What I would like to do is copy several posts from one of my blogs to another.

  Copy/paste is a solution that I’d like to avoid.
  The posts date from 2013 and if possible I’d like to keep that date in the post’s references.

  So can you tell me about a way to select the posts I want to put on that other blog and then ‘re-assign’ them all at once or one by one?

  Hello there!

  There is actually a way to export posts from your blog into an export file and then import it into another WordPress.com. And yes, you can retain the dates too. :)

  This article will teach how to export posts from your first blog:
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/export/

  In this screen, you’ll find an option to select what type of content you’d like to export. Here, you’ll find options to narrow down on what all posts you’d like to export (for e.g. posts in a particular date range, category, by author etc).

  And this one will teach you how to import posts to your new blog:
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/import/

  In case you find it difficult to include just the posts you’d like to export using this method, choose a broader criteria (for e.g. the date range of posts). After importing the posts to your new blog, you may now delete the posts that you don’t need and retain the ones you do.
