  How hard is it to transfer a website from godaddy?

  Moving a site from GoDaddy to WordPress.com can vary in difficulty depending on how the original site was built.

  Do you know whether the site at GoDaddy was created using the GoDaddy Website Builder, or if it is a WordPress site that is hosted there?

  • If it was built with the GoDaddy Website Builder, there is not an automatic way to transfer it to WordPress. In that case the best approach is to rebuild the site on WordPress and copy over the text and images from the existing site.
  • If the site is already a WordPress site hosted at GoDaddy, then it may be possible to export the content and import it into your WordPress.com site.
