Transfer blog contents

  This may be a repeat, but I’ve got a lot of posts to move from one blog to another, and I wish to know exactly how it goes.

  So, when I import contents from one of my blog to another, do I get:

  a) Posts, along with the comments
  b) Images in the posts transfer over to other blog’s domain (so the links are not broken if I turn off the first blog).
  c) Categories and Tags moves over? What happens to duplicates if any?
  c) Stats?

  The blog I wish to transfer has 294 Posts, 350 Comments, 87 Categories, and 138 Tags.

  Hi there,

  a) Yep, posts and comments will transfer.
  b) Linked images will still appear as long as you don’t delete their original source. Your media library (uploaded images) won’t transfer, however.
  c) Yes on tags and categories. I’m not sure what you mean by duplicates. Feel free to clarify.
  d) No on stats, sorry.

  Thanks, it worked without any issue. However, I have lots and lots of categories to deal with now. I guess I will await the upgrade as I recall someone here said that the batch editing of categories on posts will be possible in the near future.
