Transfer Blog to New Email Address

  I am trying to transfer one of my blogs to a new email address/account, but I get an error message that just says ‘You cannot transfer to that user.’ What is the issue?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi,

  Make sure you create the new account first. That error often occurs when the new account does not exist. See this reply from @kokkieh:

  If you want to transfer your site to another user, first make sure that the other user has already created an account. You cannot transfer a site to an account that does not exist yet.

  Also add the new user as an admin to your site first. Strictly speaking that isn’t necessary, but I’ve found sometimes a transfer won’t go through unless the new owner is already a user on the site.

  Thank you! I had done everything you mentioned, but adding the new user as an admin seemed to do the trick. Much appreciated!
