Transfer Blog to Unregistered Mail id

I am the adminstrator for (goodsamaritansfund.wordpress.com) . So I am also the current owner of it.
I have set up a separate email id (goodsamaritansfund@[xxxxxxx].com) to manage this blog and I want to transfer the ownership to this email id.
But when I try to register this email id to wordpress, it says that account already exists.
I am not want to understand why this error is occuring.
Kindly help.

The few things I tried to register goodsamaritansfund@[xxxxxx].com
Steps are in the order of execution:
1) While signing up
Sorry, that username already exists2) It says, try logging in,
When we try , it says invalid email or username3) When I try lost password,
It says: Invalid username or e-mail. -
