transfer .co.uk domain

hi, new to wordpress, just opened account.
i have been using frontpage 2003 for years, but time to change!!
i just spent a lot of time with Wix, sorry, building a site, bought some space,
the help pages in Wix, told me how to do it, but at the last leg, i couldn’t.
tried to transfer my .co.uk domain. into Wix, would not let me. don’t ask, they don’t. i could buy a .com!!
so before i spent hours building my site, can i transfer my .co.uk domain into this place, without any agro.
and yes, ive read the help page and it says i can, they show me how to, but is it true??

We cannot accept .co.uk domain transfers: https://wordpress.com/support/move-domain/incoming-domain-transfer/#which-tl-ds-extensions-can-i-transfer-to-word-press-com
But, you can still map the domain to a site hosted here: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/map-existing-domain/
