Hi… I would like to host my wordpress content on another server. I would like to continue editing the content in wordpress. How can I transfer my content to another server while maintaining editing capabilities in wordpress. I would like for my edits in wordpress to automatically carry the content over to the other server. Thank you. – hmsolo

Thank you for the information on the guided tour with a happiness engineer. Before I transfer over I need to know if I can continue editing the content in wordpress after the transfer occur. Hi,
If you move your hosting from WordPress.com to a self-hosted WordPress, you wouldn’t edit your content here at WordPress.com. You would go to your own server and log in to your Dashboard from there to edit your content.
The Dashboard would be similar to the one you have here at WordPress.com, there are, however, a few differences:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/If that is not what you want, I think you might just be wanting a domain name instead. If you get a domain name, you will get a website address like http://www.yourwebsitename.com but you will still be logging in to the Dashboard here at WordPress.com. If you do it this way, you wouldn’t need your own hosting. You would just continue hosting your content here at WordPress.com and editing it here as well.
