Transfer cPanel WordPress blog to Free Alternative.

Hello! I was wondering it was possible to transfer a pre-existing blog with an extensive amount of post to a free alternative like wordpress.com? Would I be able to retain the theme i am currently using and will the structure stay the same?

Posts and other data can be imported, but not the theme and structure as such, especially if you have special add-ons or plugins.

The rules here for what you can and can’t do with your blog are different than for a self hosted site – best to review them before the move just in case
