Transfer Custom Theme

I would like to transfer my custom theme, Obsidian, from my old page; http://www.tallmanvsfatman.wordpress.com to http://www.thenorsemanversustheworldsoldesthipster.com.

“How to Transfer a Premium Theme
You can transfer a premium theme to another site on your account by heading to the My Upgrades page. Click on the Settings button (with the cog icon) for the theme you want to move, and then click on the Transfer to another site link, and follow the directions” – but it did not work as there was no cog…

Hi there, there a couple of issues here:
– Obsidian was not purchased by the user theoneandonlyfatman, it was bought under a different user account, so you’d need to log in on the account that purchased the theme to do any transfer
– I don’t see thenorsemanversustheworldsoldesthipster.com in our system – do you have the WordPress.com URL handy – the one that ends in .wordpress.com? -
It may have been purchased under http://www.thetallmanversusthefatman.wordpress.com, our parent site.

Themes can only be transferred by and to the same user who purchased it, so the easiest way to go about this would be to issue yourself a refund for the theme (while logged in on that account) and then repurchase it on the correct account. Let me know if you run into any trouble with this.

I logged into the account used to purchase OBSIDIAN and per the instructions given, there is no cog in which to transfer the custom theme to another WordPress site. Please advise.

I do not see where to issue a refund; I am oblivious of this and am following the directions in all of the other help posts but am completely lost here as a newbie, but I am not so dense as not to be able to follow directions. Again, please advise and I apologize for the hassle.

While logged into the account under which you purchased Obsidian, head to your Upgrades list here:
https://wordpress.com/my-upgrades
Look at the list of upgrades until you find the Obsidian theme, and click “Cancel Upgrade” underneath it, then follow the prompts from there.

What is the username of the account you’re logged into when you see that?
You will only be able to cancel the theme if you’re logged in under the username that purchased the upgrade.

I got it to work, now I am having problems with WP recognizing our http://www.thenorsemanversustheworldsoldesthipster.wordpress.com… It does not show up under my domains and if I try to add the domain, it says it is already taken. So weird. It used to show up under “My Domains” but it is not recognized under:

That’s good, but I still see Obsidian running on tallmanvsfatman.wordpress.com.

We were able to get the theme on the correct site through another thread. I’ll close this one so we have just the one thread open to wrap up any remaining issues.
