Transfer custom theme from one wordpress site to another

    Hi, I have a custom made theme on a website, and i want to transfer this to a new site(roulettesitespro.com).

    I have added the Import Export plug-in on the site.

    I go to Appearance – Themes – choose the theme – click customise

    The theme is active.

    Now on the page I select export.

    I go back to my new site.

    Please walk me through the steps to add this theme.

    When I go into customise theme, select the file, and import, it tells me

    ”Error importing settings! The settings you uploaded are not for the current theme.”

    I have read online about this and the forums say that the new site needs to have the same theme activated before I do the import.

    But how is that possible? The theme isnt available in the theme store. It was custom built by a designer and developer.

    How can I do this?

    Okay so I think I figured out the next step. I have downloaded the theme.zip via the theme page on my main website.

    Now I go to install this theme on my new website and when I go to ‘Live Preview’ it states ‘

    There has been a critical error on this website.

    I have tried install the theme on a brand new website, and I still get the same error.
