Transfer domain

  Hello, we are trying to transfer the domain name ismcstaff.com to our GoDaddy account, and it is not transferring due to a privacy setting on WordPress. The domain name was registered some years ago under the WordPress account of (email visible only to moderators and staff), and she is the only one who can remove the privacy setting in order to proceed the transfer. However, she is unable to login to her WordPress account, and it is not even letting her to reset her login. Here are my questions:

  1) Can you help us to re-activate Twylla’s WordPress account, so she can go to change the privacy setting?
  2) Or Is there any way i can go to change the privacy setting of ismcstaff.com (even though I’m not the one who registered it)?

  Hi there,

  There is no WordPress.com account using the email address you provided, and that email also does not appear in the domain’s contact information.

  The username that bought the domain is the username, blessers. Please ask your colleague to try resetting her password using that username and then check all her email addresses for the reset link.

  Otherwise, she’ll need to fill out the Account Recovery form and provide one of the required forms of verification in order to regain access to the account.

  Hi Kokkieh,

  Thanks for your help. My colleague got back her access to the blessers account. Nevertheless, when she goes to attempts to remove the privacy settings by clicking on the button “Edit Contact Info”, she got this message: These settings can be changed by the user who registered the domain ismcstaff.com.

  …but she (the blessers account) IS the one who registered the domain…Any thought?

  We will first need to disable private registration for the domain before she’ll be able to change the contact info. That’s a limitation with our registrar unfortunately.
