Hi! I would like to tranfer my domain to another host. It doesn”t work like described in the manual, because the needed editig functions don’t appear in my menu. What can I do? Thank you!

I’m sorry to hear you are having trouble with this! May I ask what functions are not appearing in your menu? Do you have a link to the documentation you are using for this?
Some of the items may be found in your WP Admin Dashboard; you can access this by adding /wp-admin/ to the end of your website address. For example, yours would be something like http://lauribruinsdotcom.wordpress.com/wp-admin/

Is it lauribruinsdotcom.wordpress.com?These instructions https://en.support.wordpress.com/transfer-domain-registration/ are not applicable to a free .wordpress.com site, like lauribruinsdotcom.wordpress.com, but rather are used for custom domains.

In fact, I’m not sure where and how I can get a transfer code. Do I have to remove my website and get I get one afterwards? But that would be a bit like gambling, because I can’t find anything about it..

Only custom domains are transferrable. lauribruinsdotcom.wordpress.com is not a custom domain, it is a free .wordpress.com site.
A custom domain looks like example.com .net .org (with no .wordpress) and a free site ends with .wordpress.com.

Does that mean I can use the domainname with another host, or that the domainname is not usable anymore? Thank you!

lauribruinsdotcom.wordpress.com can only be used on WordPress.com. You are not able to transfer it to another host.
