First…I don’t even own transleadership.wordpress.com….I have idea how I owned that-ironically, I know this person so I’ve contacted him. I want to transfer ownership of billcarozza.com and I can’t seem to log into that. Ugh! Not being able to talk to someone is very frustrating.

The issue is that the WordPress.com user account that you are posting from is not the owner of that upgrade.
Typically this happens because you ended up with a second WordPress.com user account at some point and THAT account is the one that was used to purchase the upgrade. You will need to log into that second account in order to transfer the domain.

This is all very complicated. I’m fairly tech savvy and I am at a loss and running out of time with my domain. Is there anyway I can talk to a real person? All I can log into is a blog I don’t even control. Please help.

You are logged into a WordPress.com user account that does not own any WordPress.com upgrades. This is why you cannot renew anything. For security reasons, you must be able to log into the account that owns an upgrade to renew/cancel/modify that upgrade.

Yes, what I suspected is true, you have another WordPress.com user account and that one is the one that owns the domain in question.
I would encourage you to try all old/unused email addresses you have into the lost password tool to try and figure out which one is associated with the other account:

I apologize…I realize that I’m communicating with a real person-it’s just the intricacies of the issue are such that’s difficult without personal conversation. :)
The domain is billcarozza.com. At this point, I am fine renewing the domain with WordPress…I just need it to work. A bit of history: I originally had a free WordPress.com blog and bought the domain through WP. I then went to a self-hosted (though Bluehost) WordPress.org blog. When the reminder to renew came up, I had to change my credit card…but when I logged on the link brought me to transleadership.wordpress.com, ironically, a blog from a friend of mine who does not use it any longer. So….I can’t seem to even renew the domain because I don’t know how to log into my real account. Sorry for the strange issue.
