Transfer Domain

Hey there, I recently canceled my domain with WordPress.com. I’m trying to transfer it with a different hosting site. But it’s locked for 60 days. Is there any way we can fix this problem?

If you’d purchased the domain here and wished to continue using it but at some other host then asking for a refund wasn’t wise. You could have kept the domain right here and just pointed it somewhere else. You can’t transfer a domain you’ve been refunded for as you no longer own it. You’ll need to purchase the domain again wherever else you’re going to if and when WordPress.com release the domain which at a minimum will be in a few days time.
PS WordPress.com is far easier to work with than building a site at some other host in my opinion.

It looks like you’ve canceled the domain name, meaning you no longer own it.
Please let us know which of these options works best for you:
Wait: You can wait about five days from cancellation for the domain to be released. So long as no one else buys it before you do, you can purchase it again with another provider.
Repurchase the Domain: We can send an invoice and restore the domain. You’ll be able to point it to a new host as soon as it’s restored, then transfer the registration after 60 days.
Repurchase a Plan: To host your site here after all, buy a plan, skip the domain option, then update us here.
