transfer domain?

  I have a website and need to create a portal to host my online class. Do I need to / should I transfer the domain?

  Hi there, did you want to keep the existing website as is, or change it so it’s hosted here?

  Also, you’re welcome to stage your new site with us before pointing the domain here. That way your current site can stay “live” until your new one is ready.

  I do recommend getting a plan earlier on if you’ll need it, since they have other features you might find useful, including direct support:
  https://wordpress.com/plans

  Then just avoid using the domain options until you’re ready, and then you can map or transfer the domain.
