Transfer domain and site

  I have a customer that is canceling their service with the current service provider but can not lose their custom domain and site. What is the process to transfer ownership of these two items from the current service provider to my customer?

  Depending on how the original site was built, you can move it to us by following this guide: https://transferto.wordpress.com

  As for transferring the domain, please follow this guide: https://wordpress.com/support/move-domain/incoming-domain-transfer/

  Sorry for my poor knowledge of this platform. The site currently has a custom domain that I think is already in WordPress. I only have access to the site dashboard and I do not see anything to transfer the domain. I believe that only the current service provider has access to. If it is the case I will have to ask him to do it?

  Yes, you’ll need to ask the person with access to the site and domain to export the site and initiate the domain transfer following the steps linked to above.
