Transfer Domain, Domain Does not Show in Account Settings

I started out my author website in wordpress.com and migrated to wordpress.org via bluehost a few years ago, but for that time my domain registration has still been through wordpress.com (via wild west domains). I recently received an email from wordpress.com upgrades saying that my domain was up for auto-renewal, followed quickly by another email saying that auto-renew had failed. I figured this was a good time to switch my domain registration to bluehost, but when I went to do so I learned that the domain appears nowhere in my wordpress.com account settings…my billing history shows no records, and my account settings includes only a link to upgrades. In order to transfer my domain, I need to 1.) unlock the domain and 2.) get an EPP code, but without the domain appearing on my wordpress.com account I can’t do either of those things. I called both wild west domains and bluehost and they said there is nothing they can do on their ends, the permission to transfer must come from wordpress.com. Now my domain is set to expire, and I’m stuck with no way to transfer the domain and no way to get in direct contact with the wordpress.com staff in order to protect the years of work I’ve put into this website. Please help!

    Hi there,

my billing history shows no records, and my account settings includes only a link to upgrades.

There are no domains listed on the account you are logged in to (tammylang). Did you purchase it using a different account?

Which domain would you like to transfer?

Let me know and I’ll take a look for you, thanks!

I’m so sorry, I missed this response! The domain is tamaralang.com. Thank you so much!
