Transfer domain from another provider.

  Hi I have a domain with another provider its http://www.musicmikehere.co.nz
  it is currently set to point to my werdpress.com website https://musicmikehere.wordpress.com but it shows only the WordPress.com default address when loaded.
  I was thinking of upgrading from free to personal plan. it has free domain for one year. can I either transfer my current domain to This free for one year and get full domain mapping if I do.

  If you set your URL to redirect to a WordPress.com site, it will work, but as you note, will only display the standard yourgroovydomain.wordpress.com style URL.

  In order to properly use your domain with a WordPress.com site, you need the Domain Mapping upgrade (included in all of our paid plans):

  https://wordpress.com/support/domains/map-existing-domain/

  And yes, purchasing the Personal plan will allow you to use the included domain mapping credit to use your musicmikehere.co.nz URL with your WordPress.com site.
