Transfer domain from Godaddy to WordPress

I want to create a website on WordPress. I called Godaddy however they said they also have wordpress. Please could you let me know what the pros and cons of moving to WordPress to start creating my website versus remaining of Godaddy and using the WordPress they provide.

WordPress which GoDaddy will provide is the WordPress.org and other one is WordPress.com

https://wordpress.org/support/If you have already bought domain from GoDaddy and wish to transfer it to WordPress.com, then you need to have upgraded WordPress.com plan and domain registration must be old than 60 days.

If your domain is less than 60 days old then you can map your domain,
