Transfer Domain from GoDaddy to WordPress.com

    I was informed there was no cost to transfer a domain from GoDaddy to WordPress.com, now that I’m in the process of the transfer WordPress.com is showing a $12 fee

    We have the Creator paid WordPress.com plan, the GoDaddy domain was obtained just over 60 days ago and is not due for renewal for the domain.

    I believe the Creator plan does include a free domain and we have NOT used the free domain offer. t

    WP.com: Yes
    Jetpack: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

    Hi there!

    You still have the free domain credit from the WordPress.com Creator plan, and you can use that to transfer your domain to WordPress.com. However, your Creator plan was purchased on a WordPress.com account that’s different from @caldercalder4. So, you’ll want to make sure you’re logged into the correct account when initiating the transfer.

    Could you give that a try and let us know if you still see the $12 charge when you’re at the checkout?
