Transfer domain from officelive

  I have a domain and website in officelive. I want to move out and create my site using wordpress, also I need to bring my domain name from there.

  Would you please suggest me how to transfer the domain name from officelive. I need suggestion on how to do it with minimal down time for my website.

  It’s not possible to transfer the domain to WordPress.com, though you can map it to your blog instead. You can go to Store > Domains on your blog’s dashboard and follow the steps there.

  Also, you may want to review the following guide before going through the process.

  Thanks for the reply Kardotim.

  Right now I am not concerned about my blog. It is the website I am talking about(http://greenleafcoach.com).

  Do I need to get the domain transfer(keeping the name greenleafcoach.com) from some other web hosting company and then will be able to create the pages using wordpress? Please confirm.

  Also if you have any partner companies where I can do that domain transfer, I will love to get some recommendation.

  You’ll first want to build your new site or blog here at WordPress.com.

  Once you’re happy with it, you can map your existing domain ( greenleafcoach.com ) to it:

  http://support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/

  You won’t be able to transfer the domain registration to us here at WordPress.com, so you’ll need to keep the domain registration up to date through your registrar. However, basic hosting is free here at WordPress.com, so we’ve got that covered. :-)
