Transfer domain from Yahoo to WordPress

    I have looked at the different pages related to transferring domains, and am still confused. Do I buy a plan first, to get the domain included, or do I transfer the domain, then buy a plan so I can design my site? This is all pretty confusing for me, as I have necer done it before. I’d appreciate any assistance.

    No problem, I can help you get on the right path :) Paid plans include a domain credit which covers the cost of transferring an existing domain to WordPress.com:

    I recommend choosing a paid plan and then following the steps listed in the documentation above to begin the transfer process.

    You can then start customising the site, choosing a theme and adding content etc while the transfer is in progress.
