    Hi there,
    May i know whats the difference between transferring a domain name from my current provider ($18) vs deleting my domain name from my current provider and re-registering with WordPress?

    Hi there!

    The main difference is that after canceling your domain you may permanently lose it so we never recommend canceling a domain you want to keep.

    Bear in mind that, if you purchase one of our paid plans, the domain transfer will be free. You would only start paying for the domain from the second year.
