Transfer domain name

  Hello we own the domain name ourcommunitytableministries.org a third party has been managing the site they developed and now no longer are willing to manage it and we do not have access to the site due to them managing. What do you suggest we do or how can you help us with accessing what we own but they manage?

  Thanks for reaching out and your comments… The issue we have is that we own the domain name and we had someone who was managing the website and also build the site so it is all under their name and etc. We are trying to figure out is how we can still use the same site and not to have to start all over building a new one. I have proof we own the domain name but we do not have access to getting into the site because we allowed someone else to build it and manage the site – I hope all this makes sense. They will not communicate with us and have not been able to get anyone to return our call text or emails so I’m not sure what is going on but we need to be able to access the site to get it updated and etc

  Hi! Situations like this can be tricky. It’s a good idea to reach out to your host to see how they can help and what they require from you.

  Generally, if you’re paying the host directly for the domain and hosting you should have a decent chance. If you are paying the web person directly and they are paying the host, it’s going to be a lot harder.

  Also, to be clear, this site is not and was not hosted here with us. If you regain access to the site, we can help you move it to our hosting if you’d like us to handle maintenance and security for you. Until then, you’ll want to work with the host directly.

  The site is with GoDaddy, it seems, and you can reach their support here:
