Transfer domain name form wordpress.com to wordpress.org

Hi, a couple of months ago I bought a domain name in wordpress.com. Now, I want to move my blog to wordpress.org and of course I want to use the same domain name. Is there any feature that will allow me to transfer my domain to wordpress.org without much trouble? it seems that the only way is to transfer it to other web hosts and then install it, but isn’t there like a special option that cuts this process down? I’m still going to be using WordPress I’m not changing my blogging company. I don’t feel that it should be that complicated if I already bought the domain and if I’m still using WordPress.

You can point your domain to your new hosting easily by updating the name servers:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/change-name-servers/If you wish, you can transfer your domain to a new registrar and then point it to your new site:
