Transfer domain name to different blog.

  Hi. Awhile ago I created a domain name(example.com) for my blog. Then I created one for the same blog that I copied. So each had a different name. I deleted the copied blog but I wanted that name instead of the one I have now. When I type it in to WordPress domains, it says that it is linked to another blog, the one I deleted. Can I get it back since I own it.
