Transfer domain name to WordPress

  Can I transfer domain name registration to WordPress? Or must I let it expire first, and then register the domain name with WordPress? (I will be creating a new WordPress blog soon and would like to map a domain name I registered last year to it.)

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Thanks for getting in touch. While we register new domains here at WordPress.com, we’re not able to accept incoming transfers of existing domain names. Therefore, we recommend that you keep the name registered at your current registrar. You can use the domain for your site here at WordPress.com by mapping the domain, as explained here:
