Transfer domain register from Rackspace to WordPress.com
-
I would like to transfer a domain from being registered through Rackspace.com to WordPress.com. Is that possible, and if so how? I realize that I can point the existing site to a WP site; but am looking to consolidate my domain registrations in one place.

Read this first so you are clear on the facts about the differences between free hosted WordPress.COM blog on this multiuser blogging platform and WordPress.ORG software installs.

If so then you can import it. See here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/import/To move your domain name requires a domain mapping upgrade. See here Domains » Map an Existing Domain http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

Again, I’m not looking to move a website/content–nor map to an existing domain. I want to move my *registration* from Rackspace to WordPress.COM.

WordPress.COM is not set up at this time to accept incoming domain registration transfers – you can however map your domain name at another registrar to your blog here
