Transfer Domain to Bluehost
-
Hi I’ve purchased the domain myhappylady.com with Bluehost (in conjunction to wordpress.org).
I’ve also cancelled my domain myhappylady.com in wordpress.com.
It seems the site has been locked, the transfer cannot be done. Please help.

Hi there,
I see you registered the domain with us on 12 April, and you cancelled it earlier today. Cancelled domains are not released immediately, and in this case the domain will only become available again once it has gone through the redemption process, which takes around a month to complete.
If you still want this domain, we can restore it to your account with us, and then we can help you point it to Bluehost’s servers. But as this domain was registered fewer than 60 days ago, you won’t be able to completely transfer it to them yet – all new domains at all domain providers are subject to a 60-day transfer lock, as per ICANN regulations, and we have no way to waive that.
So for now you’d need to leave it registered with us, and just point it to Bluehost. Once you’ve owned it for 60 days, which should be around 11 June, you’ll be able to transfer it from us to them.
Please confirm if you want us to restore the domain. Also note that the domain will enter redemption by the weekend – once that happens there’s an extra $80 fee to restore it, so to avoid that we’ll need to get your confirmation before the domain enters redemption.

That’s not possible, as myhappylady.com hasn’t been released yet after you cancelled it. It’s possible Bluehost have placed the domain on back-order for you, so it will be registered for you the next time it becomes available again, but you definitely haven’t bought the domain from them at this time.

Hi Kokkieh,
Thanks for your prompt reply. I still want this domain myhappylady.com.
Please restore it for me and point it to Bluehost’s server.
Many thanks.
Best regards, Choo Ting

Thanks for confirming :)
I’ve restored the domain to your account, so you have control over it again.
To point it to Bluehost we’ll need to know their name servers for your site. You should be able to see that information in cPanel on their end, or else their support can provide that to you.
Once you have those, reply here and we’ll be happy to add them for you. If you want, you can also add them to the domain yourself as explained here:

Thank you Kokkieh, I’ve managed to add the nameservers of Bluehost myself.
Thanks so much for helping, feeling really relieved now.:)
