transfer domain to new WordPress account

I had admin access to wordpress through a website designer who was managing my website. However, for a reason, we are not in touch anymore, now I cannot login to the WordPress. I decided I want to run my website on my own from my own wordpress account – how can I transfer the domain to my new account so I can continue paying yearly fees and keep it running/managing?

If so, it looks like it was last hosted through https://www.tlh.ro/ if you want to try to get in touch with them about recovering access to files and data. If you purchased the domain and can access its settings, here’s how you can connect it to a site on our services: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/connect-existing-domain/
However, you’ll want to note we don’t have the old site’s files and data here. Please work on regaining access to that, or if necessary, you can start fresh here.
