Transfer Domain versus Connect your domain

    Hi there,
    I have a domain through GoDaddy that I want to connect with WordPress but I am not sure if I should transfer or connect the domain.

    WP.com: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

    Hello –

    I would connect the domain to get started. It can always get transferred later.

    It needs to be a minimum of 60 days old in order to be transferred. If it is old enough, then yes, transfer it in to our system and we will assume as the registrar and also your hosting provider for the site and domain.
