Transfer domain with renewal date next year

  hi guys, I have a domain already payed for 1 more year on godaddy… I wanted to transfer it to WordPress, but I don want to loose the year left on my payment… will it be lost from the moment I transfer it to word press?

  Instead of transferring the domain, you can map the domain instead, as detailed here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

  When you’re ready, you can transfer the domain as per these instructions: https://en.support.wordpress.com/move-domain/transfer-domain-registration/
