Transfer Domains

  I am working on building a new site for my company and will be purchasing a domain for the site, but don’t have that info yet. Is it possible start designing the site with a free WP domain then transfer it to the purchased one after I have acquired it?

  Yes, you can start your site on a free plan and upgrade your WordPress plan at any time (at which time you can add a domain).

  You will not have to transfer anything, simply upgrade your plan using the option in the dashboard and then you will get a free domain with your purchase. After a few clicks, you will have the proper domain attached to your site.
