transfer domains away from wordpress.com

I have two domains with wordpress.com – curlsdiva.com and folkarethething.com. I wish to transfer these elsewhere.

I looked up this page for instructions
http://support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/domain-management/. Only problem is this section “Look for Authorization Code and click the “Send by Email” link next to it.” In my domain manager, there is no such box. There’s no Authorization Code or Send by Email and I need both of these.

I need to have an administrative contact and an email for that contact – or is that me? It’s not clear. And how do I get the Authorization code? I don’t want to go ahead and unlock my domains without doing all of this first.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Did you JUST purchase these domains, or did you apply them to a WP.com blog already?

They’re not newly purchased, they have both been applied to blogs for some time. But those blogs are currently pointed at my host, because I changed from wordpress.com to the hosted version of WordPress.

There is some madness going on behind the dashboards tonight, weird errors and omissions. You may have to contact staff directly via the Contact Support button.

you know you can have wordpress host them for free and provide lots of lovely free support and support by this friendly forum

if you just want the url to look nice eg blog.yourname.com rather than yourblog.wordpress.com your blog can be redirected so that the entire world sees your nice url.. costs you only a few dollars a year.

supporting your own css and own site might add time overheads for you….

    just a thought
