Transfer followers from old wordpress.org to wordpress.com
-
Hi, would you be able to help me transfer my followers and statistics from my old site to my new site. Do you need anything more details from me to do this?
Also, I note that my page names/other info have also changed so that search engines don’t pick up the page details and so it ranks lower etc. How do I fix this?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi natureglow,
Here is some info on transferring from wordpress.org to wordpress.com: -
Hi there. Just to confirm, you want followers transferred from a self-hosted site to a free WordPress.com site? I’m just asking as most people do it the other way aroun.
I’m not sure if staff can do this for you, but if they can they’ll need to know the URL of the WordPress.com site (i.e. yourblog.wordpress.com) as well. Also, do you have the Jetpack plugin installed on your WP.org site? You’ll probably need that as well.
Meanwhile, I’ve tagged this for staff so they can tell you if it’s possible and what else will be needed. Please be patient while waiting for their response.

I thought so :-)
If you have Jetpack installed you should be able to transfer your followers yourself by following these instructions: https://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/moving-your-subscribers/#wordpress-com-to-self-hosted-site
I think the stats can only be done by staff, so I’m leaving this thread tagged for them. If you run into any problems while transferring your followers yourself, let us know here and staff can help you with that as well. They’ll still need your WordPress.com address, though, to know which blog’s stats to transfer, so please provide that.

When I tried to follow the steps here http://jetpack.me/support/subscription-migration-tool/
the Jetback site doesn’t appear…I only installed Jetpack when I transferred my .com site to my self-hosted site.Im a bit of a novice here, can someone help me?
The original wordpress.org blog is:
natureglow.worpress.com.au
Thanks

We also need your WordPress.COM blog, in other words, what is the address of the blog you’re migrating your followers FROM?
After providing that, please just be patient while waiting for staff to respond.

HI, I think I might have worked it out….. You are correct, its the one without the .au
Im a bit confused…I moved natureglow.com.au to a self hosted site and in doing so its changed the urls of some of my blog posts etc, so that they are not showing up in domain searches with the title etc…
I stumbled on something that said ensure your followers are also migrated, but Im thinking that wouldn’t have been an issue as the domain name didn’t change in the move to a self hosted site…get it?
Is there anything else i need to consider? THANK YOU! -
No, I think your followers do still need to be moved, as they’re still subscribed to the WordPress.com site, not the self-hosted one. Just be patient and staff will help you with that.
Regarding search results, search engines will probably need to re-index your site at the new URLs after the move, so it will take a few weeks before your blog will show up in search results again. This is normal, so no need to worry about that.

natureglow– It looks like you already moved your subscribers from http://natureglow.wordpress.com/. I also noticed you have your development site connected to jetpack rather than your live site. Jetpack features will work better if you reconnect now that you have the “real” site up and running.
