Transfer followers from wordpress blog to self hosted blog

I need help transferring followers from thethriftytravelerdiaries.wordpress.com to jhoanasjaunts.com. I already have jetpack installed but I do not know how to do it.

The blogs have different log-ins from another. I do not know if this matters but from my self hosted site I do not see the option to migrate followers under settings.

The self-hosted site is under your account “jcdetoro2014.” However, as you mention, the site thethriftytravelerdiaries.wordpress.com is under a different user account. For security reasons, these need to be the same account. Can you disconnect Jetpack from jcdetoro2014 and connect it to the other account? Alternatively, you could move the site thethriftytravelerdiaries.wordpress.com to this account.

Sorry but I think I might have been mistaken. I have this free wordpress blog jhoanasjaunts.wordpress.com which I have since moved to jhoanasjaunts.com. Everytime I go under Settings to either of the account I only see up to Site Visibility. There is nothing that says anything about monitor settings and migrate followers. Both blogs now appear on each account.

The issue here is that the blogs are not associated with the same account. The site jhoanasjaunts.wordpress.com is associated with jhoanasjaunts. The self-hosted site jhoanasjaunts.com is connected to WordPress.com through Jetpack, but it’s not connected to your jhoanasjaunts account. It’s connected to jcdetoro2014.
Both sites will need to be connected to the same WordPress.com account. So, in order to move the followers from jhoanasjaunts.wordpress.com to jhoanasjaunts.com, you will need to do one of the following:
- Disconnect the WordPress.com connection on jhoanasjaunts.com and connect it to the user account jhoanasjaunts
- Transfer the blog jhoanasjaunts.wordpress.com from the user account jhoanasjaunts to the user account jcdetoro2014
Can you let me know which of those methods you would prefer?
