Transfer Followers from WordPress.com to WordPress.org

  I have a new hosted site (www.doitonadimeblog.com). I would like to transfer all followers from http://www.doitonadimeblog.wordpress.com to this new site.

  As I’ve seen in other posts, I’ve installed the Jetpack plugin, but I’m not sure what the next step is besides opening up a ticket. Thanks in advance!

  I have the same issue! I have posted in WordPress.org support forums, bt so far no clear answers. I talked with .com’s chat and they couldn’t figure it out either. So I thought I would try here. I’ve also installed Jetpack, and it seems to be working well. But, the next step in migrating follower isn’t working. I would really appreciate any and all help. Our url is madhippieslife.com

  You must download and activate the JetPack plugin on your install. Then you follow the instructions found here http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/moving-your-subscribers/#wordpress-com-to-self-hosted-site

  Thank you so much, Timethief, for your help. I did walk through the link, and have done the activation of Jetpack, but there isn’t a place on my .com admin page in the “Sites” section to find jetpack where it directs me to go and migrate followers. So I’m a little stumped. I greatly appreciate you tagging this for staff help, and sharing the link above! I subscribed to be sure to get the response. Thank you so much again!!

  You’re welcome and please be patient while waiting as Staff do have a backlog and it is a holiday.

  doitonadimeblog, did you find a link to Jetpack in your sites area on .com? That is where I’m having troubles. :/
