Transfer for a domain we used to own

    Hello,

    The organization I volunteer for signed up for a free account a few years ago, and never renewed to a paid account. Our domain does not appear to be owned by us, but our website does still appear and load under the domain.

    We’d like to transfer the domain to another registrar – what are our options? If I entirely cancel our plan, will the domain be released? Do I need to sign us up again with a paid account to give us ownership again and then transfer? Will I have to wait the 60 days to transfer, or does that not apply since this domain was registered over 2 years ago?

    You can’t claim an expired domain that has been bought by someone else. What domain are you talking about?

    The domain listed in this post does not use WordPress.com. Here’s what I found in a quick search. It looks like you need to talk to Name Cheap.
