Transfer from another host

    I already own a domain name with a different host i.e Webs. I would like to move it over to wordpress to construct/remodel the entire website. What is the procedure to transfer / What do I need to do to make this happen?

    Hello there –

    I recommend that before you make this change, that you take a screenshot of each page of your current site as well as copy off all the content and images onto your computer so that you have all of your content to place onto your new site at WordPress.com.

    Then, in order to move your website away from Webs, you will need to map your domain, http://www.rmtespro.com/, to your WordPress.com account by following this article:
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/

    Keep in mind that after you follow this process of mapping your domain, your current Webs website as you see it now will go away and you will need to re-build your site at WordPress.com.

    That is why I recommend you copy all of your images and content before you get started.
