Transfer from .COM to .ORG for the use of plugins

  How can i transfer my blog from .COM to .ORG for the use of plugins. I’m sorry if this has been posted already but I am at work on my phone and it’s tough to check the whole forum

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  hi thesacredpath, is it possible to transfer image files in the move. From the support article it says:

  “2. In the new blog, go to Tools → Import → WordPress and upload the file you downloaded in step 1. Make sure that you choose the option to Download & import file attachments.”

  Your pictures and attachments (pdf files for instance) should also transfer – read the find print on Export and Import – the last site I moved the files came along – a couple of glitches but went well – double check the transfer to make sure everything worked before you delete anything

  During the import process you are asked if you want to bring over attachments and as I remember you click a button. I don’t know if “unattached” files come over or not.
