Hi there,
Would you like to start fresh at WordPress.com or would you like to transfer your current GoDaddy WordPress.org website here?
As far as your domain goes, if you would like to use it here you have two options to do so.
You can keep it hosted at GoDaddy and map it to your WordPress.com website:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
You can transfer it WordPress.com:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/incoming-domain-transfer/
Do keep in mind though that in either situation you will require an upgraded plan to use your custom domain here. For more information on the plans available please refer to the following link:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/plan-features/
Let us know if you have any other questions, or if you require further information about the website migration process.
Cheers

I would like to start fresh with WordPress but I want to keep my domain. I would like to be done with GoDaddy all together. Why do I need an upgraded plan to use my custom domain here? So what you’re saying is I need the upgraded plan which is a monthly fee and I will need to pay 100 or so for the year with WordPress to build and host my site?
thank you,
beau

Hi Beau,
If you want to move away from GoDaddy completely and start a new blog here then you should do as @dkmyta said, get a paid plan here on WordPress.com.
A Personal plan costs $48 per year ($4 per month) and that includes free domain credit you can use to either register a new domain or transfer/map one you already own.
If you decide to do that, just make sure your domain is unlocked or the transfer cannot process.
