Transfer from one blog to another

    Hello.

    I want to transfer some items from one blog to another, for instance storypapers from which all the covers are on 1 blog, is it possible to copy all the coverpictures i needed to the other blog where i want to place these storypapers, or can i just copy the links and paste them into the pages on that blog. That will means pages with the text en information and coverpictures will be on 1 blog (british comics) but the pictures of the covers on these pages are actually stored on another blog (pulp and old magazines), i can imagine that it is forbidden to do so.

    You can use the Export and Import tools to move your content to another blog.

    Thanks, but i am afraid that won’t work because i only want to move certain posts and the url’s from the coverlinks will still be those on the blog from which i exported the posts this way.

    Do you mean you want to hotlink the images from one site’s media library, in the other site’s content, without uploading the images to the other site’s library?

    If you have two sites, and you want to share some images between the two, it’s okay to hotlink, though we don’t recommend it. But we don’t allow you to create a site just for storing images you hotlink to from another site.

    To copy images from one site to another, the only way to do that is manually – either download the entire media library, or individual images from the library on site 1, and then upload the images you want to the library on site 2.

    Thanks for your reply.
    What i want is posts with storypapers i have on the blog Pulp and old Magazines move to my blog British Comics, both wordpress. Problem is the the covers are also on the Pulp blog with the adress from the Pulpblog. I was thinking it would be much easier to just replace those adresses into the adress of the British Comics blog with the replace function in any wordprocessor because the names won’t change when i can just transfer the pictures needed to this blog, it’s not 1 or 2 but thousands. It sounds complicated, so it’s better that i just upload the covers for the blog in this blog and make new posts with the information and other links needed.

    Since everything would need to be done manually, it’s probably best to upload the pictures to the blog, as you said.
    If you hotlink those images instead, you’d depend on the blog where they are stored right now and, if you ever wanted to delete that blog, you’d need to reupload the images again anyway.
