Transfer from .org to .com, but the site already appears in my site list on .com

  wordpress.org to wordpress.com but site already shows in wordpress.com site list
  Although the instructions to do this are clear if the site isn’t already linked, I don’t know what to do because it already shows in my site list on .com.
  Please help!

  Have you got Jetpack on your .org site? If so, may be you can try disconnecting Jetpack and see if you are able to follow transfer instructions?

  Yes, I do have Jetpack. That is a good suggestion – I’ll try it now. Thank you.

  That appears to have worked – I have the “…this will take 24 hours…” message.
  Is it really likely to take that long?

  24 hours is the maximum time it can take. That does not mean it can’t be completed sooner. :-)
