Transfer from tumblr

I have been trying to transfer my blog from tumblr to WordPress since last night. I checked this morning and it is still showing that none of my posts have been transferred despite the transfer being in progress all night. I have had to delete a wordpress site because clearing the account data on my own has not worked (WP still thought the transfer was in progress and would not let me begin a new one). Am I doing something wrong?

I’ve reset the Tumblr importer for your site so you can try again.
If it seems to take long, please be patient and don’t try cancelling the process yourself – we’re experiencing a high volume of imports from Tumblr at the moment causing a backlog of pending imports in our system. The imports are being run in the order they are submitted.
If the new import doesn’t complete within 24 hours, please let us know.

When you did the importer reset, should it have been necessary for me to click “import this blog” again? The import page still has the import marked as “in progress”. I just wanted to clarify if you initiated the new import or if the reset didn’t take. Thanks.

@thekenobae are you able to restart it at this point? I’m not seeing any active imports right now.

I am still seeing ‘in progress’ next to the blog I was trying to import. It has also not imported any of my posts.

Could you send a link to the screen where you’re seeing that, just so I know we’re looking at the same thing?

I’m completely new to WP, so I could be looking in the wrong place, but this is the address for what I’m seeing.

I was finally able to reinitiate the import this evening around 6. It’s been a few hours and nothing has imported yet. If nothing has imported by tomorrow evening, I may need someone to reset the importer again. Thanks so much for helping me out today.

Your import is currently queued, so it should start soon. Please don’t try cancelling it again.
This might take a while – we’re getting a lot of imports from Tumblr – so please be patient. But also do let us know if there’s no progress after 24 hours so we can take a look on our end.

I still am not seeing that any of my posts have been imported to WP from tumblr. It’s been a little more than 24 hours since I initiated the import. I thought I’d let you know so you can check on your end or see if my import is still queued. Thanks.

The new import is still waiting in our queue. Hopefully it will start processing soon.
