Does this guide on moving from self-hosted WordPress to WordPress.com help?

Thanks for the info. In order to transfer my current domain through GoDaddy, it states that I must have a premium account, is that correct?

Adding a custom domain is a paid upgrade, but you don’t need a premium account for this. You will just need domain mapping ($13 for a domain you already own) and then update your name servers at GoDaddy. Here is how to update your name servers at GoDaddy:
https://www.godaddy.com/help/set-custom-nameservers-for-domains-registered-with-godaddy-12317You can add a domain through your Domains page by selecting your site (bellaplusironman.wordpress.com), and clicking Add Domain.
Let me know if you have any other questions about any of the information above.

Thanks for your help here @geoffreyshilling .
We did actually change this recently: custom domains do require a plan now to help us keep offering solid features and keep free accounts completely free. I hope that helps.
