Transfer from WP.org to WP.com

  Hi, currently I am using Bluehost and created a WordPress website with it, but now I have decided to transfer everything from my website to the free version of WordPress.com.

  Questions:
  1. So once I export the file from Bluehost WordPress to WordPress.com, is my domain going to be (abcdexample).wordpress.com?

  2. If no.1 is the case, is it only the paid version of WordPress.com (which means paying WordPress to host my website) allows to use custom domain?

  1. Yes. Either that or (abcdexample).home.blog or similar.

  2. Yes. A Personal plan or higher is necessary if you want to map/transfer a domain you already own to a WordPress.com site.
